dc.description.abstract在非同步傳輸模式(Asynchronous Transfer Mode)的網路中,網路管理者 或應用程式可以建立長時間的虛擬路徑連線 (Virtual Path Connection, VPC) 用來形成一個虛擬網路或暫時的虛擬路徑連線用來作 為虛擬連線 (Virtual Channel Connection, VCC) 的快速通道。即在一 個虛擬路徑中可能包含有許多使用者的虛擬連線,因此虛擬路徑的管理直 接影響使用者使用網路的服務品質。在這篇論文中,我們對於虛擬路徑的 管理項目分別提出自行設計的方法(Heuristics)應用在虛擬路徑的三大管 理中:(1)虛擬路徑的頻寬管理(Bandwidth Management)--藉由頻寬使用 的效率來機動進行頻寬的調整,(2)虛擬路徑的路徑重繞 (Rerouting) 方 法--採用具優先權的路徑覆蓋進行路徑搜尋,與 (3)虛擬路徑/虛擬連線 的路徑選擇 (Routing) 方法--採用均衡使用虛擬識別號碼與網路頻寬等 網路資源的演算法。我們並撰寫模擬程式驗證這些方法確實有助於虛擬路 徑的管理。 In ATM networks, virtual path connections (VPCs) could be setup permanantly or semi-permanantly by network administrators to form a virtual network or temporarily by applications to group several virtual channel connections (VCCs) of users. Virtual path management is of great importance in maintaining ATM net- work service quality. In this thesis, we study related re- searches in virtual paths, and propose our heuristics in three fields of virtual path management: (1)Virtual Path Bandwidth Management Algorithm which conducts utilization-driven virtual path bandwidth adjustment, (2)Virutal Path Rerouting Algorithm which is based on a prioritized route search with path over- writing feature, and (3)Virtual Call Routing Algorithm which takes into account the usage of both residual bandwidth and residual VCI. We also develop simulation programs to examine the performance and effectiveness of the proposed heuristics.zh_TW
