dc.description.abstract對於分享記憶體式多處理器系統上之時間繞回式模擬器,本論文提 供一個動態負載平衡機制。本機制的目的在於動態的平衡各處理器上之負 載,以提高模擬器執行之效率。 在此負載平衡機制中,我們利用一個半分散式的行程佇列組織使處理器可 根據其負載大小自發性的自行程佇列中取得欲執行的模擬行程。本機制使 用此行程佇列組織動態地完成各處理器間的負載平衡。我們發展了一個多 處理器模擬環境以評估此機制之效能。實驗結果顯示時間繞回式模擬器之 執行時間可被此負載平衡機制有效降低。 In this thesis, a load balancing mechanism is presented for a Time Warp parallel simulation running on a shared- memory multiprocessor system. This mechanism dynamically balances the load on processors to reduce the number of rollbacks, and thus increase the total simulation speed. We propose a set of process ready queues organizedas a semi-distributed organization. Processors dynamicallyaccess all processes from the queues of the semi- distributedorganization. Our load balancing mechanism uses thissemi-distributed organization to balance the load ofprocessors heuristically and dynamically. An emulated multiprocessor environment was developed inorder to evaluate the mechanism. The simulation resultsindicate that the running time of the Time Warp simulationcan be substantially reduced.zh_TW
