摘要: | 個人通訊服務 (PCS) 是一個技術, 讓雙方能在任何時間任何地點互 相通訊。若是我們在設計個人通訊服務系統時考慮到話務量的負載, 集 中式的架構可能不適合都會區,因為話話務密度高。 因此我們考慮分散 式架構, DQDB 網路可能是 PCS 架構的適當選擇。 現有之研究中已提出 一個在都會區網路上,預先仲裁時槽輸送策略呼叫控制及交遞管理技術。 本篇論文提出一個方法, 以當地化的搜尋被叫行動話機的位置資訊(單階 搜尋)。不論這被叫行動話機是否在當地的都會區網路上, 呼叫路由的資 訊能在當地的記錄資料庫獲得。 我們在 DQDB 網路上提出一個群播( Multicast)策略來更新使用者位置資訊,用來支 持當地化的查詢記錄資 料庫的方法。 此外, 我們也提出行動管理與呼叫處理方法,用來建立一 個有效率且可靠的都會區無線網路。 從效能評估結果, 我們發現當地化 的查詢方法在DQDB 網路環境是值得去施行,雖然它需要一些額外的負擔 。 DQDB 和非同步傳輸模式(ATM) 的封包格式相容,如此易於將 DQDB 網 路連接上 ATM, 個人通訊服務因此能延伸至寬頻服務, 那麼我們能分享 全世界更豐富的網路資源了。 Personal Communication Service (PCS) is a technology that allows people tomake calls anywhere to people at any place.If we consider the traffic load forthe PCS system design, the centralized architectures are probably unsuitablefor the metropolitan area because of the high traffic density. Distributedachitecture is thus considered, and the DQDB network maybe a proper candidateto PCS.Previous work has addressed an enhanced bi-state PA transport mechanismand associated call control, as well as handoff management technique over MAN. This thesis addresses a method to localize the search of the called mobile-location information(one-level search), no matter inside the local MAN or not.The routing information of a call can be obtained from local register database. We propose a multicast mechanism on DQDB to update user location information, the method supports the localized query register database method. Besides,wepresent mobility management and call processing methods to build an efficient and reliable metropolitan wireless network. From the performance evaluation, wefind that the localized query method maybe worthy to implement in DQDB networkenvironment, although it needs some additional overhead. The DQDB cell formatis compatible with ATM.It is easy to connect the DQDB network to ATM, and thepersonal communication service can be extended to broadband services then we can access world-wide resources. |
