dc.description.abstractForced vibration is one of the most significant topics in dynamics. We distinguish two separate cases: (1)A system tends to rest. (2)A system tends to self-sustained oscillation. In chapter 3, we describe the unforced cases. In chapter 4, we describe the results on case(l) with a periodic force. In chapter 5, we describe the results obtained for case(2) with a periodic force.en_US
