dc.description.abstract網際網路自動車輛監控系統在國內已開發完成,但使用者在遠端客戶端利用瀏覽器透過網際網路查詢資料時,系統之資料與圖形回應傳輸速度較慢,以致使整個系統之實用效果大受影響,另由於系統建置的目的在於以一套系統提供多人使用,因此系統的負荷能力以及穩定度也受到嚴厲考驗。本研究即在此背景下探討提升網際網路車輛監控系統客戶端操作績效之策略,藉由瞭解影響網際網路車輛監控系統客戶端查詢作業效率之相關組件與軟體技術,探討客戶端查詢作業系統組件之替代方式,最後以實作方式驗證不同替代方式之改善效果。經由實際操作及軟體測試之驗證後,本研究建議在網際網路自動車輛監控系統中,可利用ActiveX技術建構客戶端之查詢系統,在客戶端瀏覽器內嵌入一個應用程式後,使用者利用替代系統進行查詢動作時,相較於利用現行系統時減少了約67%的所需查詢時間,另替代系統的每秒可接受要求數亦優於現行系統,這表示替代系統的網站伺服器容量較大,而兩系統的每秒產出則沒有明顯差異,替代系統並改善了操作介面之親和性。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractWeb Automatic Vehicle Location System (Web AVL) has been developed in Taiwan for a while. However, due to the slow transmission speed of data and maps, practical effect of the whole system is limited. Besides, as the system is to offer services of single equipment for multiusers at the same time, workload and stability of the system are also severely questioned. Therefore, this study is to discuss strategies to improve inquiry efficiency of Web AVL. Firstly, the study will analyze relevant components and software effecting inquiry efficiency of the system, then to figure out an alternative system, and finally, to verify the effect of alternative system by practicing experiments. After experimenting and benchmarking, the study suggests the system administrator establish a client inquiry system with ActiveX. In this way, an application program will be embedded in the client browsers, so users will spend less inquiry time by 67% with the alternative system than the current one. Apart from reducing time, the alternative system is also superior to the current system in the requests per second, and this means the capacity of the server in the alternative system is larger than the one of the current system; but there are no apparent differences in throughputs per second between these two systems. As well as all that, the alternative system also creates a more friendly user interface.en_US
