個人化數位圖書資訊環境 - 以PIE@NCTU為例

Abstract

隨著資訊數位化及網際網路的迅速發展，龐大的數位化資訊很容易讓使用者迷失在網路的世界裡，導致使用者無法快速而方便地獲得他真正想要的資料。有鑑於此，透過研究、分析與紀錄使用者的行為，並針對不同的使用者提供個人化的操作界面甚至是個人化的查詢結果，以便於使用者獲得有效的資料，已是一必然的趨勢。 本論文提出利用檢索策略來解讀使用者興趣的方法，希望能藉此幫助使用者尋找所需資訊。其概念是以檢索策略的頻率、各檢索策略間的相關性、以及時間對興趣的影響來求得使用者有興趣的關鍵字詞和使用者興趣的分佈狀況。藉著瞭解使用者興趣來達成數位圖書資訊環境的個人化。除此之外，本論文亦根據前述方法，設計及實作出「交大個人化圖書資訊環境」 (PIE@NCTU) 。PIE@NCTU所提供的個人化服務有： (1) 個人化桌面， (2) 個人化搜尋引擎， (3) 個人書籤， (4) 個人資訊選粹服務， (5) 個人通告。

Internet and World-Wide Web open a new information age. In the new information age, how to obtain useful information efficiently and effectively has been becoming a pressing research topic, as explosive quantities of information resources make users get confused in seeking the interesting information. A personalized information environment will help users discover relevant information. In this thesis, we propose a method that automatically extracts the interests of a user according to his past query strategies. After we find out the interests of a user, we can determine if new information are related to the interests of the user. A personalized system, PIE@NCTU (Personalized Information Environment for National Chiao Tung University Library), has been implemented to verify the feasibility of the proposed method. The functions of PIE@NCTU consist of Personal Desktop, Personal Search Engine, Personal Bookmarks, Selective Dissemination of Information, and Personal Awareness.
