摘要: | 由于高速率数据服务的需求不断增加,小细胞(small cell)网路被提出以改进数据速率和频谱效率。然而,当系统流量负荷低时,小细胞网路会浪费太多的能量消耗。为了解决这个难题,我们想要设计一个机制,使小细胞基地台可以进入关闭状态。 在本篇论文中,我们提出讯务导向节能(traffic-aware power saving, TAPS)机制,意图降低小细胞基地台的能量消耗。TAPS机制可以根据小细胞基地台自己的流量负载来切换操作模式,以达到节能目的。模拟解果显示我们提出的TAPS机制能有明显的节能,并且跟小细胞基地台全开的情况相比,只会在性能上造成轻微的衰减。 Since the increasing demand for high data rate service, small cell network is proposed to improve data rate and spectral efficiency. However, the small cells wastes too much power when system traffic load is low. To overcome this challenge, we want to design a protocol to enable off state in small cell BS. In this thesis, we propose the traffic-aware power saving (TAPS) scheme to reduce power consumption of small cell BSs. The TAPS scheme can switch the operation mode of SBSs according to their traffic load to achieve power saving. Simulation results show that the proposed TAPS scheme has obvious power saving yet causing slightly decay on the performance compared with small cell BSs all open case. |
