摘要: | 半導體晶圓廠二手製程設備的業務已發展多年,但都局限於六吋及六吋以下設備之交易,2000年起,中國半導體晶圓廠如雨後春筍般地興起,並帶動八吋二手製程設備巨大的需求。以往此二手設備業務,多為外國二手設備商主導,在中國,崇越科技憑著台灣代理商經驗,成功拿下四個台灣團隊到中國發展的案例。本研究希望藉由對中國半導體晶圓廠二手製程設備產業的分析及對崇越科技的競爭優勢與策略發展的個案研究,來探討台灣二手設備商如何在競爭激烈的環境中,建立競爭優勢,制定、調整策略以因應瞬息萬變的局勢。
經本研究探討,結論歸納如下:
一、積極執行成本領導,方能符合大陸晶圓廠的需求。
二、維護品牌信譽在大陸新興市場是行銷的利器。
三、建立技術服務團隊及完善的知識管理系統。
四、深耕大陸市場除二手設備業務外,亦可多角化經營,更積極者,可因累積深厚的客戶關係、技術的經驗及市場的洞晳,進而發展新設備以滿足晶圓廠的新需求。 The business of used semiconductor process tools has been here for many years, but most buyers just focused on 6-inch one and below. Since 2000, the booming of China’s semiconductor IC fabs makes huge needs of used semiconductor process tools. It used to be traded by foreign vendors. In China, TOPCO Scientific, which is long experienced in agent of Taiwan’s business, has grabbed 4 cases with Taiwan’s top management who moved to China. By the analysis of the industry of used semiconductor process tools in China and the case study of TOPCO’s competitive advantage and strategic choice, we hope to find out how the Taiwan’s used-tool venders manage to build competitive advantage and strategies in order to succeed in fast-evolving China. After investigating and discussing in the research, the conclusions suggests the chiefs of companies should 1. Pursue a cost-leadership strategy in order to meet China’s IC fabs’ need. 2. Build the brand in China’s semiconductor tool market to facilitate selling. 3. Set up a service team and a system of knowledge management for long-term running. 4. Dig deeper into selected target market, diversify products, then develop new tools for new needs if there are robust relationship with clients, available technology, good insight into this market. |
