A convenient and efficient life is the lifestyle people look forward to nowadays, and 24-hour convenient stores have become indispensable neighbors to us. Almost all of the necessities of daily life are properly and quickly settled in a convenient store for 24 hours a day throughout the whole year.. No wonder that convenient stores in Taiwan grow rapidly in recent years. There are more than 9000 convenient stores since 2006 and the turnover also increases year by year. Convenient stores in Taiwan have become the second-largest one in retail industry , and they are only inferior to the department stores. However, are these mature enterprises at the end of their growth? Do they have opportunities to keep growing ? TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) was proposed by the Soviet inventor G.. Altshuller in 1946. In recent years, it has been widely developed in various fields, and the trend of evolution, which is a tool of TRIZ, can be used in predicting the future direction of evolution in the system. In 2004 Darrell Mann published 32 kinds of business evolution trends, which are developed for the enterprise as a reference of decision-making . In this paper, the business evolution trends are used to explore the business innovation of the convenient store industry in Taiwan. Through the case study , the auditor tries to find out the competitive advantage of the studied target and the potentially innovative directions as well. |
