摘要: | 本研究係以某半導體晶圓代工產業公司工程師為研究對象,透過問卷調查及深度訪談來瞭解工程師資訊行為以及使用公司資料室之情形與各項服務滿意程度。藉由此研究,期望對晶圓代工產業資料室提供經營上方向與掌握工程師的特質增進服務品質之參考。
具體而言,本研究結果發現一.工程師資訊行為特性: (一)工程師之資訊需求目的以提升自我工作能力及解決日常管理工作為主;(二)工程師之資訊搜尋以文件管道及人際關係管道為主要資訊來源管道;尋找資料過程中最常遭遇到的困難為資訊過多及相關專業資訊太少;(三)資訊使用:資訊品質及資訊取得容易度為工程師尋求資訊時優先考慮的因素;而取得資訊是否符合需求及資訊之正確性為工程師評估資訊的主要考量點。取得資訊後工程師使用資訊的主要目的為提升工作效率、即時且迅速達成目標或任務。(四)工程師之背景特性對資訊行為之影響:以性別與職銜對工程師資訊行為影響最為顯著,尤其在每週閱讀時數上有非常顯著之差異。二. 工程師對資料室各項服務的滿意度,滿意度最高為「資料室工作人員的服務態度」及「服務效率」;滿意度最低的兩項,分別是「館際合作服務」及「資料庫網路查詢之穩定性」。
本研究結果歸納出對半導體晶圓代工產業工程師、資料室建議如下:一. 半導體晶圓代工產業工程師資訊尋求(一)全國半導體晶圓代工產業資料中心之設置(二)網路資源檢索之學習(三)資料室(圖書室)、圖書館之利用 。 二. 資料室資訊服務(一)相關作業人員素質之提升(二)使用者之教育、訓練(三)專題選粹服務之提供(四)網路資訊之整理、過濾(五)擬定服務政策、加強實施資料室利用教育與資料室行銷(六)持續進行工程師研究調查(七)產、學界經驗交流。 This thesis takes semiconductor foundry industry engineers as research subjects, and tries to understand their information behavior and information use, and their satisfaction with the services provided by the document control center. This thesis employs questionnaires and in-depth interviews as the research methodology. The purpose of this thesis lies in offering the document control center the management direction and to promoting her service quality by understanding engineers’ characteristics. The findings of this thesis are two aspects. The first aspect is regarding the characteristics of engineers’ information behavior: (1) the information need of an engineer lies in promoting self’s working-ability and solve problems encountered in daily management job; (2) the primary information sources of engineers are documents and interpersonal relationships, and the most difficult problems in seeking information are information overload and too little relevant and professional information; (3) quality and accessibility is the main factor when engineers seek information; whether the information fit demands or not and the information accuracy are the primary points when engineers evaluate information; the main purpose of engineers using information is to work more efficiently and to achieve the goal or mission in time and fast; (4) the influence of information behavior to the engineers’ background: the sex and professional title influence are the most obvious, especially reading hours every week; The second aspect concerns the satisfaction of engineers with the services offered by the document control center. The attitude of document control center’s staffs and service efficiency ranks the highest. The lowest is interlibrary loan and stability of surfing the internet database. Several suggestions are drawn in this thesis. For the information seeking of semiconductor foundry industry engineers, this thesis suggests the establishment of a semiconductor foundry industry information center, the learning of how to search network resources effectively, and the utilization of the document control center and library. For the information service of the document control center and library, seven suggestions are given, including: (1) the enhancement of working staffs in professional skills; (2) the provision of more education and training for users; (3) the provision of services that fit engineers’ needs, such as Current Awareness Service (CAS), Current Contents Services (CCS), Selective Dissemination of Information Service (SDI), and Document Delivery Services (DDS); (4) the arrangement and filtering of network information; 5) drawing up service policies and strengthening the education and marketing of the document control center; 6) continuing the research on the investigation of engineers' information behavior; 7) exchanging experiences between the industry and the academy. |
