設計師在自己虛構的作品中理解這個真實的世界。
真實的狀態不必然有什麼道理,但設計者卻必須在其中尋求某些隱藏的秩序,作為自身作品中成形的邏輯,藉此塑造作品趨向一個與真實環境契合的關係。
其中除了以人為主體的思考外,還包含了諸多物質材料與現象橫跨在人與人、人與環境中間,故稱之為介-質。本設計論文集即是以介-質作為設計者思考的主體,觀察並研究屬於個別介-質本身的特性與道理,延伸其變化的可能性,透過此介-質主體,專注於設計條件之外的時間脈絡與社會處境,嘗試擺脫設計者自身對於既有形式的成見與習慣,再反推介-質如何影響與改變與人間的關聯,企圖以一種非作者本身作為思考的出發點,作為發展建築形式的另一個方式。
本設計論文以水、影子、模板作為三種不同特性的介-質,置入四個不同類型的設計題目,依據不同的設計處境,嘗試發展不同的設計歷程與空間形式 :
1. 以水作為網路社群進入真實環境的表徵,一方面以水平面的高低即時反應人群的互動關係與空間變動,另一方面容納週遭環境的公共活動,延伸作為都市重要的開放空間。
2. 抽離都市複雜環境的影子,作為承載都市歷史中存在過的遺跡與證明,轉換成都市藝廊中的空間印象,連結不同時間中,共同的空間記憶。
3. 以模板特有構造方式與營建流程(重複使用)作為住宅建築生命週期中增、改建的空間策略,並將變動視為必然的空間需求,發展出相對應的空間形式。另外,企圖將學院中的展場設計,回歸真實社會的生產系統,將單一的設計目標,延伸為整體性的思考,整合不同社會領域的資源,表達永續的基本精神。 "There is the difference between truth and fiction . Fiction has to make sense. “ Designers realized the real world through their fictional works . There are not always the rules in real circumstances , but designers always have to find out the hidden orders of reality as the logic of form in their works . They follow the rules to make their works match the real environments . Besides the thinking of human as subject , there are many materials and phenomenons among people and surroundings . (Mediums ) This portfolio is based on the thinking of mediums . Through the observation and research of mediums , I realize the characters and rules of these mediums and extend the possibilities and limits of changing . Focusing on the linkage of society and history , I try to get rid of the original prejudices and imaginations of architecture form by the study of different mediums . I try not to pay too much attention on myself ,but see how these mediums change the relationship between people and environments . With the new discovery , I hope I can find another way to create new building form . There are three different studies of mediums in this portfolio , including water . shadow and formwork, and four real projects : 1. Water . Using the change of water level creates different spaces to contain different activities in different time , and represents the relationship of internet communities in real environment . The water plaza as the important public space in the city provides an unique view and a place for social communication for people coming to the library and citizens . 2. Shadow . Shadow represents the history of space and leaves the memories to the people . In this case , I transformed the shadow from the trace and evidence of the urban history into the space image of new urban gallery that connect the common memories in different times . 3. Formwork . In the construction system in Taiwan , we reuse the formworks again and again . If we take this advantage of formworks to the extension or changing during the life cycle of buildings , we can save the money of moving formworks and the need of extension and change can also be satisfied . In the NCTU architecture exhibition case , I try to find a sustainable way of using the formworks during the time of exhibition and after it , giving the formworks a second life in every periods of life cycle of construction . A purpose of connecting the academy resource and construction system shows the idea and the potantial of sustainability of our society . |
