dc.description.abstractThis thesis is concentrated on planning a coffee shop business in Taiwan. Taiwan’s coffee shop business has been contributing to the country’s economic growth for the past few years. Many coffee shops in Taiwan are successfully built their brand and been expanding in both Taiwan and overseas, for instance, 85oc café and bakery, and Starbucks. Those big coffee chains have gained a lot of market share in Taiwan coffee market. However, there still have been rooms for new entrants to come into this market. Additional, in order to break into this glut of coffee market, a special and unique coffee shop should be taken into consideration. This thesis starts with short background description. Then goes through some existing coffee shops in Taiwan, which compared their product price by using matrix map. The author uses SWOT analysis tool to analyze competitor’s advantages and disadvantages. Moreover, this thesis applied business canvas model as the base of the thesis structure. This paper will present a business plan for establishing a Thai-style café in Taiwan, which is also include Taiwan’s coffee industry, business canvas model and marketing plan.
