Purposes: This study was to evaluate the effects of Vibration Training (VT) on the reaction time and movement speed performance of athletes. Methods: Choose 16 high school students who are handball players to be the objects of this study. Those students are divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group (8 members for experimental group and 8 members for control group). Experimental group accepts general handball training, which keeps for 8 weeks vibration training 3 times a week. Using SMART JUMP, SMART SYNC and SMART SYNC to test reaction time and the movement speed, single factor ANCOVA was used to examine the differences between the groups after training with pretest values as a covariate and the significance was set at α=.05. Result: 1. It is a significant difference in reaction time before and after vibration training. 2. It is also a significant difference in movement speed before and after vibration training. Conclusion: It is cleared that additional VT could improve the reaction time and movement speed in handball players.
