| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | The H.264/AVC standard can achieve much higher coding efficiency than the widely available MPEG-2 video standard. In this thesis, we proposed a fast algorithm in order to speed up MPEG-2 to H.264/AVC transcoding time. The proposed algorithm includes a fast mode decision method for the variable-sizes blocks in H.264 and a fast motion vector decision method for these blocks. The Experiment results show the proposed algorithm can reduce much computational cost with keeping similar video quality while compared with full MPEG-2 to H.264 transcoder. | en_US |
