驗證服務業於半導體產業之競爭策略之研究 -以A公司為例

Abstract

摘要 半導體產業的發展，已由初使的大型整合元件廠(IDM)，逐步發展至如今之「IC設計」、「晶圓製造」、「IC封裝」、「IC測試」等各子產業分立，上、 下游公司各司其職，各擅所長! 可說是「產業專業分工模式」的最佳寫照。驗證服務業亦受惠於此產業鏈的形成而蓬勃發展。驗證服務業在此產業分工中扮演IC 設計流程中之產品驗證的角色。 本研究希望藉由個案A公司的競爭力分析，探討「驗證服務業」在同時面臨新的市場契機與高科技產業生命週期變動特別快的環境下， 如何善用企業核心能力，擬定其競爭發展策略，為企業的活動創造更大的附加價值 。

本研究採用 SWOT 分析手法，及透過個案研究和專家訪談方式，分析A公司之優勢及劣勢，與其所處環境的機會與威脅，並歸納整理出結論，做為A公司競爭策略之量化模式，及提供個案公司決策者策略擬定方向之參考指標。

ABSTRACT Semiconductor industry has been developing from IDM and now is divided into IC design, wafer manufacturing, IC packaged, IC testing sub-industries. The upstream industries and downstream industries are important roles in the model of professional industry assignment. The verification services industry gains great benefits from the semiconductor industry chain and also is developing prosperously. The verification services industry plays an important role in product verification for the IC design industry. The purpose of this research is to investigate that “verification services” industry how to use its core ability to plan its competitive development strategy to create great value-added for industry activities through case A Company, especially facing new market opportunities and rapidly changing life cycle of high-technology industry circumstances. This study is to adopt SWOT analysis, case study and interviews with professors to analysis strengths、weaknesses、opportunities、and threats of A Company. The result of this research can be a quantification model of competitive strategy for A company. Also, the result can be an index of strategy direction for decision maker.
