The importance of user interaction experience and the emotional design of technology product are constantly being considered and now being even more emphasized. Some academics have suggested that the machine should be able to express emotion in order to fully perform its intelligence. The interaction between user and mobile phone has become more frequent and it is no doubt that mobile phone is a significant tool in daily lives. The purpose of this paper is to propose an emotional interaction design for mobile phone. By in-depth interviews, we analysis the key points of "why" and "how" would people have feelings for daily objects. Then, we converged the key points and designed the emotional interaction architecture for mobile devices and finally developed the emotional interaction interface which is applicable for mobile phones. At the last part of research, through user testing and evaluation, we verified that the interface actually the promotes user's willingness of interacting with mobile phones, and strengthens their emotional connection with mobile phones. In conclusion, this study proposes a set of design principles of emotional interaction architecture confining to mobile phones, an interface design for mobile phones’ emotion and behavior, and an analysis of research results providing some directions and design suggestions for future researches. |
