摘要: 本論文主要是介紹智慧電網在全球主要區域之發展現況,包括政策、技術趨勢 以及佈建狀況,進一步研究台灣的晶片設計業的商機是否主要仍在底層的智慧 電錶所需採購的晶片。智慧電錶與傳統電錶的主要差異在於雙向通信功能,而 相關的通信技術欠缺全球統一的標準,因此有了極大的服務缺口,這對於以技 術整合見長的台灣晶片設計公司來說,是IT 產業紅海競爭之外的另一個藍海市 場。在全球的市場中,中國大陸的潛在商機最大,故本篇論文針對中國大陸電 力產業的相關利害關係人進行分析,以瑞昱半導體為例,透過SWOT 及PEST 模型分析得出進入智慧電錶晶片的競爭策略,以做為經營者的布局參考,並可 為其它台灣晶片設計公司進入中國智慧電錶晶片產業的重要參考。
In this thesis, we introduce the smart grid development status in the global market including the power policies, technology trends and deployment status. And we identify that the main opportunities for Taiwan’s IC companies is the chips purchased in smart meters. The main difference between the smart meter and traditional meter is the bi-directional communication capability. Due to the lack of the global communication standard, there is a big service gap in the smart grid industry. While the Taiwan’s IC design houses are trapped in the bloody competition of IT industry, the smart meter chip business seems quite “FIT” for Taiwan’s chip design houses. Since Taiwan’s chip design houses are known for their advance technologies and integration capabilities. Among the global markets, China is the biggest one. In this thesis, we take Realtek Semiconductor as a case study. Through “SWOT” and “PEST” model analysis, we conclude with competitive strategies for entering the smart meters industry. The strategy can be referred by other Taiwan’s IC design houses when they are entering the China smart meters industry.
