The markets of IBM CICS (Customer Information Control System) cover all theworld. Even in today, although the microcomputer is very cheap and popular. However, because the power influence of CICS is so deep, many big hospitalsstill can not suddenly give up the CICS system. Now is the world of network, the development of distributed system is important. There are many benefit fromthis development, such as getting better price/ performance ratio, higherreliability, sharing device, etc. But the complex software development processproblem is a major factor for transfering data from centralized systems todistributed systems. This paper presents a semiautomatic processes forconverting an exist CICS program to a distributed client server program. It ismade up of three main module: the Windows interface module, the program parsemodule, the client/ server program generator module. I am responsible for thedevelopment and research about the parser module and the c/s program generatormodule. We use the concept and method of DPL (Distributed Program Link) to dodo the research. By the friendly Windows user interface one can convert the original program to two client/server programs. Using this semiautomatic tool can reduce the developing cost. |
