JupiterTM is a CTI based open switching system, which supports fast tele-communication service creation. This paper discribes the hardware archi-tecture of JupiterTM and how the switching hardware can be controlled by the lower layers of the JupiterTM software. We develop a JupiterTM simulator. Based on the simulator, we develop PCS Roaming Management software for JupiterTM. We also build SS7 Connection between JupiterTM and Authentication Center through Ethernet.Mobile communications services facilitate the exchange of information (voice, data, video, image, etc.) for mobile users independent of time, location, and access arrangement. Mobile communications services have become a rapid growing business in the telecommunication industry. In the past 10 years, the number of the subscribers has grown to over 15 million in cellular phone services, over 60 million in cordless phone services, and over 20 million in paging services. The emerging personal communications services have been predicted to have 60 million subscribers by the year of 2005. Mobile system will attract more users by combination of the characteristics of CTI and DECT.At the end of this paper, we propose a mechanism to provide a TCP/IP interface of JupiterTM. It maks different JupiterTM PBXs can transfer signal through Ethernet.
