Abstract: Abstract
The railroad traffic freight has the efficacy of being low-cost
and allowing a great quantity and long distance
transportation. Besides, it is superior to highway
traffic freight in both the security and punctuality. Based on
the reasonable distribution and well
utilization of the national entirety traffic freight resources,
Taiwan Railway traffic freight service system shall aggressively
improve anticipating a successful operation and
producing a marked effect of service function to cope with
the demands of the national long term transportation development
as well as to alleviate the burdens of the
national finance. Thus, it is essential to get Taiwan
Railway traffic freight system improved immediately.
First of all, this research has made a present situation
analysis for the inland traffic freight environment
and Taiwan Railway traffic freight operation. Secondly,
it delimits the character of railroad traffic freight for the
detection of the operational key factors and drafts a
remedy strategy in the end.
The existing operation analysis of Taiwan Railway starts from
the interior operation management to scrutinize
the keypoints of the transportation management so
as to grab the management direction and to draw up an
appropriate strategy under the limited railroad
resources and fierce competition in traffic freight market to
achieve the objective of improvement.
There are two phrases to assess the key factors. The first
phrase is to distribute questionnaires to the
concerned management to build up a level structure
that affects the success of the operation of railroad traffic
freight. The second phrase is to design a questionnaire
based on the built-up level structure. To make use of the
analysis of the level procedure and obscurity theory, the
weights among each level elements is therefore
obtained, and the pair comparison matrix analyzing the key
success factors that affects the current railroad traffic
freight operation is further established.
