摘要: 全球電信自由化的趨勢,促使新興的通訊業者快速架構通訊網路,服務客戶。因為微波通訊有架設速度較快、價格較便宜、服務具有彈性、資料傳輸量大、維護較容易的特性,因此帶動微波通訊的市場的發展。傳輸數位化資訊的大量需求,使得微波通訊也迎合市場需求,轉向數位微波通訊方向發展,市場也逐漸由語音需求,轉成數據的需求。近年來,新技術的開發,如多頻道多點分配系統、無線用戶迴路等成為寬頻接取服務的解決方案。政府對無線電頻率的積極開放,使得頻譜資源為全民共享。本研究探討微波通訊產業價值鏈的垂直分工模式,系統廠商將系統產品逐一分割成次系統組件,選擇適當的次系統組件,外包作業給合格的合作夥伴生產,可以降低成本,增加自己的利潤。本研究建議台灣微波通訊產業應提昇特殊的生產組裝製程,改善產品設計,專注核心事業,創造客戶價值。
The trend of global telecommunications liberalization pushes incumbent telecom carriers and competitive telecom carriers competing in adopting new technologies and deploying advanced networks. Microwave communications have unique advantages, e.g. easy installation, low cost, flexible service, large data transmission capacity, and easy maintenance. Microwave communications technologies such as Local Multipoint Distribution Services(LMDS)and Wireless Local Loop (WLL) provide solutions to satisfy broadband access needs. This thesis studies the value chain of microwave communications component and equipment manufacturers, as well as the competition and cooperation among them. Every member in the supply chain has to create as much value to its customers as possible. In order to increase competitiveness through cost-reduction, leading telecom equipment vendors are outsourcing most of the manufacturing functions to Taiwan, China and other areas with cheap manufacturing costs. This study recommends Taiwan microwave vendors to enhance manufacturing efficiency, improve product design capability, focus on core competence, and increase customer value.
