摘要: 由於網路快速發展,使得家庭網路成為未來新興的應用服務平台,但由於家庭網路中所連接的資訊家電種類繁多,產生的資料流相對必須有適合的管理機制才能協調資訊家電運作符合需求,因此家庭網路QoS成為相當重要的議題,其中又以匣道器中緩衝區管理機制,可有效的管理緩衝區使用率以抒解網路擁塞的情形,因此如何在家庭網路中加入適合於家庭的緩衝區管理機來擁有網路服務品質的保證,將是本篇論文探討的重點。 本篇論文使用CBQ(Class Base Queuing)為排程器,CBQ擁有分類及處理即時性流量特色,而緩衝區管理則應用CPBM(CBQ Priority Buffer Management)加以改善降低封包置換率為考量,配合家庭網路的分類機制,提出適合於家用匣道器的緩衝區管理演算法CPBMH,參考NS2及使用Self-Similar的封包產生器發展出來的模擬環境進行實驗測試,分別使用三個指標做評筆,由於家庭網路中優先等級最高的封包多為警急訊號,因此即時送達特別重要,因此本研究對Priority1 Replacement Rate、Priority1 Loss Rate、及Total Loss Rate 此三指標做分析及比較,而CPBMH設計專用的緩衝區空間給予Priority1的封包使用,因此可以有效的降低Priority1 Replacement Rate,但必須犧牲約1%的Total Loss Rate來達成,又1%中並未犧牲Priority1 Loss Rate,可以確保Priority1的封包有最高的優先權及較低的置換頻率,同時在流量愈大時愈顯著。
The information appliance (IA) has become an important research topic discussed in both academic and industrial circles for the past few years. The IAs are designed for remote operation and management, and further to advance the capabilities of collaboration with the others. The communication network for IAs is called home automation network (HAN). The HAN needs to provide some essential functions for IAs; the quality of service (QoS) is one of the most important mechanisms. In this paper, we recommend a classification mechanism for applications on HAN, and propose a buffer management scheme CPBMH. The proposed CPBM H. scheme has been compared with conventional buffer management scheme of CBQ and the CPBM scheme using a simulation system, constructed by NS2 and Generator of self-similar network traffic version 2. The CPBMH in conjunction with classification mechanism for HAN provides a simple but robust scheme that obviously reduces the replacement rate of the emergencies packets.
