隨意視訊中互動式資料庫系統之設計

Abstract

在本論文中，我們提出了一個隨意視訊中互動式資料庫系統的原型架構。 本系統是建立在一個以視窗為基礎的圖形環境中。它除了提供以視訊內容 為基礎的資料擷取方法外，也提出了一套伺服器與客戶端之間透過訊息傳 遞的網路溝通架構及客戶端的緩衝區管理方法。藉由客戶端與伺服器之間 的交談及客戶端對緩衝區的管理，得以讓使用者改變影片的播放方式，例 如快轉及倒轉等。基於此系統模型的提出，對於未來建立及提供隨意視訊 服務將有實質上的幫助。 In this thesis, a prototype of an interactive database system for video-on-demand is proposed. The system is implemented on a window-based graphical environment. Content-based retrieval of videos is supported. The communication protocol based on message-passing between server and client is presented. Buffer management in client is proposed. By the communication between client and server and the buffer management in client, it becomes possible that users change the playing status of the videos, such as forward and rewind. The design of this interactive video database system model lays the foundation technology for future video-on-demand service.
