將彎摺語彙應用至家居設計

Abstract

若外觀結構是產品的形體；造型語彙可說是產品的靈魂。在設計過程中，要如何將造形語彙經過適當的詮釋，完整將原創內涵注入作品之中，是設計者在創作中最重要也最困難的一環。本設計創作選定了一個造形語彙，希望藉由對這個造形語彙的挖掘與實驗，創造出一系列原創且實用的家居設計。

本設計創作想將「彎摺」語彙轉化應用至家居設計。希望藉由摺紙的過程，激發出各種不同的想法，將彎摺語彙適當地轉化至設計中，再以現今彎折加工的技術與限制為依歸，篩選與落實摺紙過程中不可能與可能的想法，將符合原創設計與加工限制的概念轉化成具實用性的家居用品。

在設計程序上，首先針對摺紙的基本技法與平面的立體化做探討，接著在了解相關案例與材料加工後，以厚紙進行彎摺語彙概念發想，以創新的彎摺型態為設計目標，最終再以原創性及加工限制為考量做篩選。最後選出了兩款草模做延伸與細部設計，將其轉化為三項具實用性的家居設計—「Loop 衣架」、「Waving 花器」與「Triangle 咖啡桌」。文末則針對三項設計做檢討，提出討論與建議，希望對語彙轉化有興趣的人，能有實質的參考價值。

If the structure is the form of the product, then styling vocabularies can be said that the soul of the product. In the design process , the most important and the most difficult part is how to put styling vocabularies perfectly into products, and make products have its own personality in a proper way. This study chose a specific styling vocabulary, hoping to create a series of original and practical furniture design by discover and experiment the styling vocabulary.

The study wants to transform the styling vocabulary “Folding and Bending” into furniture design. Hoping to inspire a variety of different ideas by process of origami, transforming “Folding and Bending” into design appropriately. By following the rules of technology and processing limitations of bending, selecting and implementing the ideas of origami, in the end, transforming the ideas which are original and producible into a series of practical furniture products.

In the design process, first investigate the basic techniques of origami and the transforming of sheet to form, and then after understanding the relevant case and materials processing, developing design concepts by forming models with thick papers, and eventually take originality and processing limitations as primary considerations to select the final concepts. Electing two concepts into detail design, converting it to three practical furniture products-" Loop Coat Hanger ", " Waving Vase " and " Triangle Coffee Table ." In the end, reviewing and discussing three design products, hoping this study will have substantial reference value to people who are interested in transforming styling vocabularies.
