織造邊界

Abstract

我們的書桌有邊緣，我們的房子有牆，我們的公園有範圍，捷運有終點站，然而人為或者非人為的活動卻是連續且不間斷的，在現實環境中，我們不斷地製造所謂的空間，然後把我們自己封圍起來，我們躲在人造光源的冷氣房裡，我們忘記了我們所處的土地環境時間以及歷史，我們身邊的水泥盒子從來就沒有告訴我們什麼，除了信箱裡水電費帳單。

這本設計論文包含了我在交通大學建築研究所設計組西元2005年秋天到西元2007年夏天，這兩年內的設計課的設計、競圖、媒材課的成果。

在這兩年之間，我發覺我在處理的空間議題裡，<邊界>一直是我所關注的主軸，而我所謂的邊界涵蓋了地理、歷史、人為活動、自然地形的各類邊界，而在邊界與邊界之間存在著許多的斷裂，活動的斷裂、歷史的斷裂、空間的斷裂，而我嘗試以不同的方式去〝織造〞我所關注的<邊界>，進而讓原本的邊界狀況得到某種躍進，而得以重新連結活動、歷史、空間或者創造出新的關係，而透過這本設計論文的集結，我試著以<織造邊界>為主軸，專注且廣泛地表達我的設計。

Just like a park has boundaries，a desk has edges，a house has walls，and so does MRT have destination．However，the activities of human or natural world are continuous and non-stop．In our living environment，we keep building up “spaces” to enclose ourselves．We hide ourselves inside the rooms with air conditioner and man-made light resources．We almost forget the history of our environment and the land．Inside the cement houses，there is no story but the bills of our everyday living．

The thesis includes my works in design classes，competition and media material classes which are completed from 2005 summer to 2007 fall in the graduate institute of architecture of National Chiao-Tung University．

In these two years，I find that “boundary” is my focused issue when I’m dealing with the spaces．The boundaries here include those of geography，history，human activities，and natural landscapes．Between every two boundaries there are breakings of activities，histories，and spaces．I try to weave these boundaries in different ways to improve the original ones．Furthermore，by weaving these boundaries，I can make a connection between activities，histories and spaces; I can even create new relationships between them．The collection in the thesis，explain the topic of “weaving boundaries” from various perspectives in different designs．
