摘要: 本計畫目的在研究具前瞻性廣域無基地台式的無線通訊系統應用於ITS系統之可行性與效能評估。廣域無基地台式無線通訊系統中的用戶或通訊節點均具有中繼的功能,且節點間傳輸具多路徑選擇的能力,能有效提升無線電頻率使用效率,達到低成本(無基地台建置費用,系統維運成本低)及高傳輸速率的目的。該系統如經實測,證實其效能,將可有效輔助ITS通訊平台之基礎建置,對我國ITS之推展與建置有相當之助益。本研究第二年度以第一年度成果為基礎,建置較大規模之通訊實驗平台,除了進一步評估廣域無基地台式的無線通訊系統的效能外,並開發包括先進旅行人資訊系統、先進大眾運輸系統等雛形,以驗證其可行性;利用本研究通訊實驗平台與雛形系統的系統效能與建置經驗,可作為將此技術擴大至都會規模以進行相關ITS應用服務系統時,在效能評估上與建置維運成本分析上的基礎,並可提供產業與政府機關在建立ITS商業模式時的參考。
The aim of this project is to explore the application of advanced mobile ad-hoc networks (NAMET) in intelligent transportation system (ITS). Every node in the networks not only act as a relay station but also does route planning, which may reach the goals of frequency efficiency exhalent, cost reduction (no base stations needed) and high transmission speed. If the networks have been to effective, they will be useful in the implementation and deployment of ITS Information Communication platforms, which can speed up the realization of ITS in our country. In the second year of this project, we plan to build up MANET testbed based on the achievements in the first year. Several prototypes of selected ITS services, including advanced traveler information system (ATIS), and advanced public transportation system (APTS), would be implemented in this project. We will examine the effectiveness and efficiency of these prototypes. Experiment results of ITS services on our MANET testbed can be aided to estimate the communication performance and infrastructure cost when we scale up the terminology in a metropolitan area. The suggested business model of MANET-enabled ITS will also be proposed in this project.
