We investigated liquid and solid Neon, for potential use as a substrate for surface-state electrons. For this purpose, we design and constructed a cryostat, tested the height of liquid neon with several kind of capacitor and produced electrons with filament in a neon environment. We attempted to measure electron transport on the solid neon surface using a tin corbino electrode sample and microchannels device. We found that electrodes leak through the solid neon. As a furture work, we can try other material as the substrate in this experiment.zh_TW
