As far as the flat panel manufacturing industry’s operating environment is concerned, due to the development of new technologies, as well as the diversification of the Internet market, the related applications have become increasingly widespread. In addition to coping with the highly competitive external environment, enterprises have to ensure their own competitive advantage. Therefore, how to effectively gain access to limited resources to create higher added value for shareholders and employees is the key to avoid being eliminated in the competitive market. The data envelopment analysis was adopted in this study to analyze the operating performance before and after organizational change. Based on the data analysis results, it was found that both the technical efficiency (TE) and pure technical efficiency (PE) prior to the organizational change have been efficient, while the TE, PE, and scale efficiency (SE) have shown improvement after the organizational change. It indicates that under the new organizational structure, although the management have failed to achieve TE efficiency, gradual improvement has been accomplished. In the face of uncertainties and fierce competition in the general manufacturing industrial environment, management should make good use of the resources available within the organization to make adjustments to achieve the best organizational efficiency through the suggested type of operation. |
